How to Sell on eBay?

eBay is as an online marketplace where consumers can sell their used or second-hand items to other consumers in either an “auction-style” or “buy it now” transaction.

Unlike Amazon.com where they expect their sellers to only sell a brand new product (sellers can also sell second-hand product provided that it is in a very good condition, however, second-hand selling is not popular in Amazon), eBay is less strict on the quality of being sold in their platform.

Because of eBay’s lenient policy on the quality of the product being sold, a lot of eBay sellers finds cheap items from auction houses, thrift shops, and/or flea market then sell those on eBay on a much higher price!

So if you love shopping for a bargain, trying to convert into a minimalist, looking for other ways to bring in cash then selling on eBay might be the perfect solution!

Today, I am going to quickly show you how to create an eBay account, so you can start selling your unused items, unwanted gifts, etc and earn extra income at the end of the month.

How Can You Increase Traffic to Your Product?

As you can imagine, there are also numerous sellers trying who are trying to sell products that are the same as yours. Now you are facing a problem of how you will end up on the first page of eBay to increase your chance to sell your item.

You can increase your visibility by being a good seller thus improving your seller reviews over time. Usually, people will buy to sellers that are trusted by the community. Obviously, this method takes time, and it requires you to be honest and show good customer service (which you should be in the first place).

Creating a niche specific blog that is related to the item you are selling is also a good way to increase traffic of your ad. Since you will spend a lot of time creating a blog, then only do this if you are a serious seller in a particular niche/market. A way to do this is to write a review, create how-to tutorials, or curate a list then advertise your products on eBay.

Conclusion

Selling on eBay is a good way to make an additional income. However, a lot of people want to do the same. In order to get an edge, then you need to show excellent customer service to your customers, be prompt on delivering their bought items, and be honest with your ads. If you do all of this, then they will rate you higher thus you will eventually always end up in the first page.

Another way to increase traffic on your account is by focusing on a specific niche then creating a blog related to that niche. Another advantage of this is you can sell your items in different platforms then advertise it in one page so it is clean and centralized.

Finally, if you are thinking about where you will get the items you will sell, then I suggest that you go to garage sales. Go to a wealthy neighborhood and you might even get one for yourself. Auction houses are a good place to hunt for items as well.

That is all for now! I hope you enjoy reading today’s blog and I hope that I am able to add value to your life today!
