I stumble upon Wealthy Affiliate (WA) in 2018 during my lunch break. I work in a pharmaceutical company and even if I am not financially tight nor hate my job, I still want to one day quit my job and do what I really want to do.

I was researching about passive income because… well I am lazy… I want to learn how to make a lot of money with as little effort as possible. (P.S. wrong mentality! Even CEOs of multi-billion dollar companies work a rediculous number of hours!)

Anyways, because I am being lazy and wanting to be rich at the same time, I almost subscribe to a “get-rich-scheme” which promises that if I follow his program then I will be rich in no time! 

The good thing is I did my research about the program and I learned there is no such thing as passive income. However, I learned something new from that get-rich-scheme and that is affiliate marketing. 

I did my research about affiliate marketing and that is when I discovered Wealthy Affiliate! I subscribed to their FREE Starter Account and the rest is history! 

I love Wealthy Affiliate because it taught me all the things I need to know about Wealthy Affiliate and the community encouraged and inspired me to push forward!

Is it Possible to Make Money With Wealthy Affiliate?

The short answer is to the questions above is, Yes! People make money with Wealthy Affiliate and below are just some of many examples.

Now, I want you to have this mentality, “If they can do it, I can do it too!”

Say it aloud! 

Okay, I like the attitude!

Now that we know (based from proofs) the answer to our question, “Is it Possible to Make Money With Wealthy Affiliate?”, let me now go and answer the other equally important question, “How People Make Money With Wealthy Affiliate”

To answer the question, I will have to answer the following common question:

How Others Make Money with Wealthy Affiliate?

Many make money on WA by taking advantage of WA’s affiliate program.

Basically, when you get a commission for each person you refer someone to WA.

Many would mistake this model as Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) or pyramid scheme but it is not. This is affiliate marketing!

In MLM, you will have to personally recruit someone to get a commission. Then, when your recruit recruits someone you get additional income.

This is not how affiliate marketing works.

What is Affiliate Marketing and How People Make Money From It?

What this means is you, as a blogger, must search for a company that is related to your niche and who has an affiliate program. You will then apply to their affiliate program then they will provide you with an affiliate link.

Your next step is to create a content that highlights their product than make a call to action for your readers to click your link to try the product/service themselves. You will then get a commission if your reader or customer purchase the product/service using your affiliate link.

This is how many people make money from WA. WA’s affiliate program is very lucrative as shown in the picture below.

Basically, if you are a premium member, you will get $23.50 recurring monthly of $175 recurring yearly for each person you refer to WA. Even if you are a Starter member, you still get $11.25 recurring monthly or $87 recurring monthly.

So do the math, if you manage to refer 5 people in your first month then you get  $115 for that month. Say you are able to refer 15 people on the next month, then you get $345+$115 (from the previous month) = $460 on the second month.

You get the idea, all you need to do is to refer people to WA every month and keep your existing referral happy so they wouldn’t quit WA to make a large amount of money every year.

Note that WA’s money-making strategy is no different than any “blog-for-income” strategy.

As per the blogging-for-income strategy, you will NOT make a single dime in your first six to one year, unless you are an SEO god or digital marketing genius.

That being said, you will have to take these steps before you can make money with WA. 

1. Choose a Niche 
2. Create a Website 
3. Write a Blogs with Low-Hanging Keywords
4. Spend to market your blog or let time and SEO do their job
5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 until you make a profit. 
6. Don’t give up

I know that is a lot of work but I have a piece of great news though. 

The skill that you will learn from WA is transferable!

Meaning, you can definitely use the skill that you’ve learned and developed from WA even if you decide to part ways from Wealthy Affiliate! The skills that you will learn can be applied to other blogging-for-income strategies!
